PREMISE
Whether you're caught in the rain, washing your hands, or standing beneath a shower during your dailly lives, black tendrils will bleed and spew from them, overtaking you until you black out. Sleep, an incredibly powerful being, has broken through the veil between worlds to seize those touched by water, dragging them into her growing realm. She calls them to a place where humanity can become whole again, a perfect world without death, grief, or suffering— Only love.
Those already claimed by Sleep awaken in a horridly dark place. While their bodies remain suspended in a comatose sleep in the real world, their consciousnesses are imprisoned within the Interstice, a drowned reflection of reality. Following the death of One, the First Numeral and the main host of the infinitely powerful Lunar Seed, this dank realm has become your new reality.
In Somnia's second story arc, based on the album This Place Will Become Your Tomb by Sleep Token, the game will shift toward deep-sea horror, survival, exploration, and psychological mystery. Guided by the remaining Numerals, players must descend into the depths of the Interstice to find One, awaken him from his slumber, and return to the waking world before Sleep's dream swallows the universe's reality forever.
