Convergences aren't meant to be formed quickly, nor taken lightly, as they are very strong bonds that a pair must be completely devoted and open to on both sides of the relationship (so a more one sided tether would not make this possible, nor would the slightest bit of distrust or secrecy on either end).

Do you think your Tether pair (or throuple) are suited for a Convergence? Comment below explaining your pair's development and reasoning behind forming a Convergence, along with any possible gains including ability or appearance bleeding should there be any, and you will get a mod answer approving, requiring revisions, more thought.

This is to not only help players with their ideas, but to ensure that possible abilities gained are not overpowering or unlikely, along with keeping Convergences as something special and not easily formed as regular Tethers are. It's also a helpful place of reference for those unsure of what a Convergence should look like so they may plan their own in the future. Characters involved: Kalmiya Longwillow longwillows & Arthur pointedlook

Convergence Suitability: These are two people who have borne the heavy weight of being responsible for others' well-being, who know what it means to try and outrun who you were, who have been touch-starved, lonely, built defenses to protect themselves, and found the understanding they've been seeking in each other. They've navigated the ugly words their mirrors whispered, a tether snapped like a string, fear of inadequacy, identity confusion, and reality loss.

Yet, they see each other's blackest pits and accept them, because from one rebellious soul to another: if they wanted to change the other person, would it be love?

Abilities and Appearance Gained:
Kalmiya

• Can take Arthur with her when teleporting
  
• More easily able to mold things in dreams that are not hers, such as building rooms or changing items, outfits, sounds, and tastes ala dreamshare mechanics
  
• Is able to "jump" from one electronic item to another, so long as Arthur has made it or tinkered with it in some fashion; this will grow over time and have a short range at first
  
• Able to siphon power from Arthur to keep her shapeshifting forms for longer

Arthur

• Partial shapeshifting–cannot hold the shape very long unless he's closer to Kalmiya and is unable to fully change his entire person
  
• Doesn't need to expend as much energy when infusing magic into objects or trinkets that belong to Kalmiya
  
• Can infuse items, specifically electronics or mechanical ones, with magic that can mimic the powers/features of another vessel for a short burst; this will grow over time, however, will be constrained to one type of power loaded on each object and must be a specific effect
  
• Able to siphon power from Kalmiya to keep something powered for longer or to artifice something larger than usual

Downsides

• Strong emotions will disrupt each other's powers: Kalmiya can interrupt electronics or items he has infused, Arthur can accidentally mess with her glamour, causing it to drop entirely or assert certain features by mistake
  
• If they push themselves too hard, they can get lost in their tether, making it difficult for them to distinguish where one ends and the other begins
  
• Relatedly, they will need time to recover if they push too hard—not only from the strain, but from the energy expended to work through the tetheric enmeshment. Their recovery will hasten if kept close to each other and be incredibly sluggish if out of physical range

Appearance changes
Kalmiya

• Her spots have a randomized and flowing light pulse, similar to Arthur's circuits, and much like the brief illumination of fireflies at night. More of them light up when she's closer to Arthur
  
• The effects of her teleports now appear more glitchy alongside the usual sparkles and ribbons
  
• A light, uniformly discolored band around the base of her ring finger

Arthur

• Bite marks left by Kalmiya's fangs have a foxglove-like spot pattern that is mostly white or pale in color
  
• Slowly growing a tail that's similar to carbon fiber in texture, which he'll be able to expand or contract over time
  
• The sparks thrown off by his static electricity now include definitive sparkles/glitter
  
• A light, uniformly discolored band around the base of his ring finger
